A Week from Monday è una pubblicazione con cd che raccoglie i materiali sonori e visivi della residenza – dallo stesso titolo – organizzata da Viaindustriae e Holydays a Scopoli (PG) nel settembre 2020. È un diario dei sette giorni trascorsi insieme agli artisti visivi Giacomo Infantino e Francesca Ruberto (di cui sono visibili i progetti fotografici nel libro) e ai musicisti Laura Agnusdei, Matteo Pennesi e Luca Sguera (di cui sono ascoltabili i brani su cd) tra indagine sonora, ricerca visiva ed esplorazione dei territori. Dall'esperienza della residenza è nato il progetto {SCOPE}, che coinvolge i tre musicisti.
Il tema emerge dal titolo del progetto, A Week from Monday, che “cita non letteralmente” un libro tecnico di John Cage (A Year from Monday. Lectures and Writings, 1967), un’agenda di lavoro, pensiero, composizione, scrittura e paesaggio della parola. La temporalità del progetto che si è dipanata su sette giorni, corrisponde alle sette tracce e alla scansione giornaliera tipica della narrazione diaristica da cui, però, si emancipa il contenuto vero e proprio che è, invece, una frammentazione composta da un apparato testuale evocativo ma mai descrittivo, dalle fotografie, dalle scansioni di documenti (appunti tecnici sul suono, liste della spesa, menù, appunti, citazioni), in una sovrapposizione grafica che suggerisce connessioni non necessariamente evidenti, in alcuni casi latenti, che possono essere colte o dimenticate.

A Week from Monday is a publication with a CD that gathers together the sonic and visual results of the residency – with the same title – organized by Viaindustriae and Holydays in Scopoli (Italy, PG) in September 2020. It is a diary of the seven days spent with visual artists Giacomo Infantino and Francesca Ruberto and musicians Laura Agnusdei, Matteo Pennesi, Luca Sguera between sound investigation, visual research, and exploration of the landscape. Starting from the residency experience the project {SCOPE} was born, involving the three musicians.
The seven days of the residency are mirrored in the seven tracks on the CD, as well as the seven ‘chapters’ of the diary. But this cadence of seven should not be taken too literally; indeed the contents are composed of texts fragments which should serve to evoke rather than describe, combined with photos, scans from documentation produced during the residency (technical notes, shopping lists, menus) in a collage intended to suggest and create connections not evident at first glance.
